TEHRAN (WSN24) – A high-ranking Iranian officer underscored the full preparedness of the nation’s military to deliver a response that would be both “painful and regret-inducing” to any threat

“The Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran, demonstrating complete readiness, vigilance, and intelligence superiority, will respond decisively to any threats against the nation’s security, independence, and territorial integrity through operations that are impactful, painful, and induce regret,” stated Commander of Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters Major General Ali Abdollahi on Thursday, marking the first anniversary of the US-Israel aggression against the Islamic Republic while honoring the war martyrs.

He further remarked that the 12-day conflict against the United States and the Israeli regime last June showcased the Iranian nation’s preparedness to defend its sovereignty, independence, security, and national interests against any form of threat or aggression, achieved through unity, steadfastness, adherence to the guidelines of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution and the Commander-in-Chief, and reliance on the capabilities of the Armed Forces.

“The adversaries, through their miscalculations and delusional beliefs, have failed to realize their nefarious and malicious objectives, resulting in a strategic and humiliating defeat,” the senior commander asserted.

He praised the “sacred and historic defense” and highlighted that the ongoing, widespread, and conscious engagement of the populace in support of the ideals of the Islamic Revolution and the Armed Forces, along with their allegiance to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Mojtaba Khamenei and their call for retribution for the blood of the martyred Leader Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei, signifies a “lasting representation of national unity, cohesion, and support for the path of resistance.”

General Abdollahi underscored that over 100 nights of public presence in the streets have demonstrated the significant role of the people in enhancing the country’s deterrent capabilities.

The commander expressed his assurance that the legacy of the martyrs of Iran’s dignity and strength, particularly that of the martyred Leader, will persist, and the “flag of independence, resistance…”
