TEHRAN (WSN24) – The Khatam al-Anbia Central Headquarters of Iran has pledged that the nation’s military will respond decisively to the threats and malicious actions posed by the United States against Iranian commercial ships and oil tankers

In a statement issued on Monday, the Khatam al-Anbia Central Headquarters denounced the United States for perpetuating its malevolent actions and fostering insecurity throughout the region, as Washington continues its aggressive military campaign and seeks to impose an unlawful naval blockade on the Islamic Republic.

The statement highlighted that in the last three days, American forces have threatened Iranian vessels operating within the nation’s coastal and territorial waters as part of their illegal attempts to enforce a maritime blockade against Iran.

“This action by the United States is viewed as an escalation of conflict in the region,” the statement emphasized. “As demonstrated by the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran on the battlefield, they will not allow any threat or malicious act from the terrorist army of that nation to go unanswered and will respond decisively.”

The headquarters reiterated Iran’s steadfast commitment to defending its sovereignty and maritime rights against foreign provocations.

The Islamic Republic has consistently shown its ability and determination to safeguard national interests and respond appropriately to acts of aggression, ensuring that regional stability remains intact against external powers seeking confrontation.

This recent warning comes as the US persists in its coercive tactics against Iran through unlawful means, which Tehran has continually rejected as blatant violations of international law and a direct threat to peace and security in West Asia.

The armed forces of Iran are fully equipped to protect the nation’s territorial waters and commercial shipping routes from any hostile actions.

Last month, Iran and the US signed a memorandum of understanding aimed at breaking the cycle of unprovoked American-Israeli aggression against the Islamic Republic, which had commenced on February 28.

According to the agreement, Iran consented to permit fee-free maritime transit through the strait for a duration of 60 days.

In adherence to the MoU, the Islamic Republic established a designated maritime route for vessels to navigate through the strait.
