Dhaka, March 8, 2026:

Information and Broadcasting minister Zahir Uddin Swapan has inquired about the condition of journalists who were injured in an attack by miscreants while collecting news at the Pagla Mosque in Kishoreganj.

The minister spoke with the injured journalist over the phone to check on their condition.

He also discussed the matter with local Member of the Parliament Mazharul Islam.

The Information Minister instructed the Deputy Commissioner and the Superintendent of Police of Kishoreganj to ensure appropriate punishment for those responsible for the attack and to provide security for the journalists who were injured.

The Deputy Commissioner informed the minister that two of the attackers involved in the incident have already been arrested.

Journalists were attacked by miscreants on March 5 while collecting news at the Pagla Mosque.
