Dhaka, March 15, 2026:

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman will officially inaugurate the farmer card distribution program next Pahela Boishakh.

Prime Minister’s Additional Press Secretary Atiqur Rahman Rumon said that this decision was taken in the meeting regarding the farmer card today.

He said that in the morning, a meeting was held at the parliament secretariat under the chairmanship of Honorable Prime Minister Tarique Rahman regarding the issue of farmer card.

In the meeting, it was decided to formally inaugurate the next Pahela Boishakh Krishak card distribution program.

Agriculture Minister Amin Ur Rashid and State Minister Sultan Salahuddin Tuku, State Minister of Local Government, Cooperatives and Rural Development Ministry Mir Shahe Alam, Prime Minister’s Finance and Planning Adviser Rashid Al Mahmud Titumir, Postal Telecommunications and Information Technology Adviser Rehan Asif Asad were present in the meeting. BNP’s election manifesto promises to launch Krishak Card to support farmers across the country.
