An informed military source informed WSN24 on Thursday that amid increasing speculation regarding a potential “historical folly” by the US in initiating a ground invasion on Iran’s southern front, a surge of enthusiasm has arisen among Iranian ground fighters to establish a “historical hell” for the Americans on Iranian territory.

The source highlighted that, in addition to mobilizing over one million fighters for ground operations, there has recently been a significant rise in requests from Iranian youth directed towards the Basij, the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), and the Army to join this battle.

“The US aims to open the Strait of Hormuz using suicide and self-destructive tactics; that is acceptable. We are prepared for both their suicide strategy to be implemented and for the Strait to remain closed,” the military source remarked.

Following the assassination of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei, along with several senior military commanders and civilians on February 28, the US and the Israeli regime initiated a large-scale unprovoked military campaign against Iran.

These attacks have included extensive aerial bombardments on both military and civilian sites throughout Iran, resulting in considerable casualties and extensive damage to infrastructure.

In retaliation, the Iranian Armed Forces have conducted operations targeting American and Israeli positions in the occupied territories and at regional bases using waves of missiles and drones.
