Following intense Israeli fire on its staff last week, the Palestine Red Crescent Society reports that it has recovered 14 health workers’ bodies from Rafah.

Health officials say the ceaseless Israeli bombardment on the first day of Eid al-Fitr has killed at least 35 people, including women and children.

A contentious road project close to occupied East Jerusalem is criticized by Hamas. Following Israel’s security cabinet’s approval of the settlement road project late yesterday, Hamas released a statement on Telegram.

According to the group, the project will pave key roads that will isolate Palestinian towns around the Ma’ale Adumim settlement and improve the connections between settlements.

“The occupation’s persistent settlement projects in occupied Jerusalem expose its malevolent intentions and plans to fortify settlements and facilitate the expulsion of Palestinians from the Holy City,” the statement continued.

Israel can proceed with plans to expand settlements in E1, an area outside the Green Line, thanks to the project’s underground road in the occupied West Bank. The road would connect Palestinian communities, but it would also keep them apart from the rest of

Israel’s assaults on medical personnel in Gaza

Since the Israeli military started bombarding the enclave in October 2023, it has targeted medical personnel and facilities throughout Gaza.

Hundreds of medical personnel have been detained, murdered, and injured; they are required by international humanitarian law to be protected during armed conflict.

The UN Human Rights Office in the occupied Palestinian territories declared last year that “hospitals, medical personnel, and ambulances must be respected and protected at all times under international humanitarian law.”

Similarly, medical professionals are only no longer protected if they are actively participating in hostilities. War crimes include deliberately planning attacks against hospitals and medical personnel that are still protected.

The number of Palestinian health workers killed since the war is estimated to be varying.

Trump is making a “false choice” to Iran.

Trump’s nuclear deal threats, according to Abas Aslani, a senior fellow at the Center for Middle East Strategic Studies, are giving Iran “a false choice.”

“Trump wants to give Iran a false choice: comply with US demands or face more aggression,” Aslani told WSN24, referring to his strategy, which is typical of heavy-handed tactics.

However, the US president has also urged the Iranian leadership to engage in negotiations.

This gives Tehran conflicting signals, aggravates [an] already tense situation, and makes it harder for Tehran to define a clear course for the future,” he said.

Tehran hopes to gain a better understanding of the Trump administration by consenting to indirect negotiations
