TEHRAN (WSN24) – Currently, hostilities in the Persian Gulf have ceased; however, there remains a potential for their reoccurrence should the United States provoke issues for the Iranian ships, according to a military source who spoke to WSN24
In an interview with WSN24 regarding the latest events in the Persian Gulf, located south of Iran, a military official stated, “Following the aggressive actions taken by American terrorists against Iranian oil tankers, the navy of Iran executed retaliatory strikes in response to the breach of the ceasefire and the acts of American terrorism.”
The official emphasized that, at present, there are no confrontations occurring in the area after a period of gunfire exchange.
“The hostilities have ceased, and the environment is tranquil.”
Simultaneously, the official cautioned that should the Americans attempt to re-enter the Persian Gulf or create disturbances for Iranian vessels, they will face a firm response once more.
“Thus, the potential for the renewal of such conflicts in the region remains,” the official reiterated.
